I really do enjoy sending Christmas cards. It's my tradition to sit in front of a holiday movie, pour a cup of coffee, and get out my address book I've had since elementary school to write out some postal cheer. You probably think I'm nuts. But, nothing says love and friendship to me more than a handmade gift, so this year I sent out handmade Christmas cards. I started by sketching out an ugly Christmas sweater in pencil. Then I transferred the design to a piece of soft-kut rubber block and carved it out. I decided to leave some lines around the sweater because it gave it more of that handmade look. And then the fun really began. I rolled on ink and stamped out about 40 cards in one sitting. After the sweaters dried I went back over to add some glitter- what's more gaudy on an ugly sweater than glitter?! Some friends will get my special KrispitzMadeThis design on the back of their card. This part was so time consuming- so sorry to the others because I did not do all of them. My dream is to have a stamp with my logo on it for next time!
